The PKBGT is an initiative of the non-profit Triad Youth Golf Foundation. The Foundation will provide financial and logistical support to the Tour and work with community and regional leaders to promote girls golf in the Carolina’s. The mission of T.Y.G.F. is to provide cost-conscious access to golf with a specific focus on girl’s golf development through the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf programs of Greensboro & Winston-Salem.

2016 will be the 10th season of the Tour which has experienced unprecedented growth in its first eight seasons. Participation on the tour has grown to over 450 members with our multi-day events regularly featuring between 60 to 90 girls.

The 2016 Tour will again feature 18, 36 & a 54-hole tournaments and is open to girls 12-18 with multiple series based on yardages, the elite Bell Division (divided into the elite Bell Series and the collegiate-prep Prep Series) and the high school developmental Futures Division. In addition, 2016 will feature the return of the Collegiate Series for 19 - 25 year olds looking for some competition during the summer months.

A players tour ranking will be tracked by the PKBGT Performance Index. In addition, each tour series will feature an Order of Merit Standings LIst which will gauge each player's standing in their given series.

Mike Parker

Tour Director / Co-Founder

 

As PKBGT Tour Director since the inception of the tour, Mike brings over 14 years tournament operation experience and is responsible for the Tour's policies, operation, development, marketing, and web site. Mike is the Executive Director of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, the tours operator, and directed tournaments outside PKBGT including the Precision Golf Junior Championships and aa a Tournament Director for the U.S. Kid's World Championships.

Jessica Neese

Tournament Director

 

A PKBGT alumnus, Jessica graduated from High Point University where she played Division I golf. Prior to joining the tour, she worked for Precision Golf School in Greensboro, NC where she served as the Programs Director for the Precision Junior Development Program, where she directed multiple leagues and tournaments. Jessica brings great knowledge of the junior golf landscape and a passion to help girls grow in the process she herself experienced. Jessica is responsible for tournament direction, social media and player services.

Robert Linville

Tour Founder

 

A Carolina’s Teacher of the Year and Two-time Division III National Coach of the Year, Robert brings over 30 years of professional golf experience to the Tour. As Founder and the Director of Instruction for Robert Linville’s Precision Golf School & the Co-Founder of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, Robert continues to be a leader in junior golf development in the Carolina’s.

Chris Haarlow

TYGF President

Class A PGA Instructor Chris Haarlow is the President of TYGF, the non-profit foundation he and Robert founded in 1999. Chris also is the Director Instructor and Director of Junior Programming for Precision Golf School. In recognition of his work with the Award Winning Precision Golf Junior Academy, Chris was named a Top-50 MASTER Kids Teacher in America by US Kids Golf Inc. in its inaugural class.

Samantha Morrell

Tournament Director

 

A native of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Samantha has been playing golf since age 9. She was a highly ranked junior golfer and is excited to bring her experiences to the PKBGT and assist players and families achieve their goals in golf! Samantha graduated from Old Dominion University in 2013 with a degree in Communication and a minor in Spanish. As a player on the ODU Division I women's golf team, she was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Year in 2010 and the Old Dominion Alumni Association's Female Athlete of the Year (2013). Sam is responsible for tournament operations, logistics and direction.
